William Blum

William Blum

William Blum left the State Department in 1967, abandoning his aspiration of becoming a Foreign Service Officer, because of his opposition to what the United States was doing in Vietnam. He then became one of the founders and editors of the Washington Free Press. Mr. Blum has been a freelance journalist in the United States, Europe, and South America and was one of the recipients of Project Censored’s awards for “exemplary journalism” in 1999. He is the author of numerous books, including: Freeing the World to Death: essays on the American Empire, Killing Hope: U.S. Military and C.I.A. David Calleja

David CallejaDavid Calleja graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science and Master of Social Science from RMIT University in his home city of Melbourne, Australia. He has taught English in China, Thailand, South Korea and Cambodia, where he worked for a local NGO, Sorya, based in Tropang Sdok village. In addition he has also volunteered as a kindergarten English teacher, tutor and a football coach to male orphan students in Loi Tailang, Shan State. He has narrated and produced a video biography of Cambodian students learning English entitled I Like My English Grilled. His video documenting life at Stung Meanchey, Cambodia, A Garbage Life, can be viewed online.

Dr. Joseph Fitsanakis

fitsanakisDr. Joseph Fitsanakis, PhD, has been teaching and writing on the politics of intelligence in Britain and the United States for over ten years. He is co-founder and co-editor of intelNews, a daily source of news and commentary on international intelligence and espionage. Barnabe F. Geisweiller

After graduating with distinction from Concordia University in Montreal with a degree in political science, Geisweiller traveled to the Middle East in 2007, where he spent nine months in Nablus, the Palestinian territories. There, Geisweiller founded West Bank Tours, a tourism company, and taught English to Palestinian children. He later trekked across the region to Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iraq and Iran. Back in Canada, Geisweiller took a position as a policy analyst with Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East, an advocacy and policy group based out of Montreal. He is currently a graduate student at Columbia University’s School of Journalism in New York City.

Antonio Graceffo

Antonio GraceffoAntonio Graceffo is the former assistant head of Private Wealth Management for one of the largest private banks in the United States. He is now an adventure and martial arts author, and has lived in Asia for many years, publishing numerous books and several hundred articles in magazines and websites around the world. He has worked as a consultant and writer for shows on the History and Discovery channels and appears on camera in “Digging for the Truth” and “Human Weapon”. Antonio is host of the web TV show, “Martial Arts Odyssey.” He was embedded with the Shan State rebel army in Burma, documenting human rights abuses, and doing a film and print project to raise awareness of the Shan people.

Azhar Masood

Aazhar_masoodzhar Masood received his Masters in International Relations from the University of Karachi in 1971. During the 1980’s, he reported on the Afghan war for Arab News and other news organizations. Shahid R. Siddiqi

Shahid R. SiddiqiShahid R. Siddiqi began his career in the Pakistan Air Force. He later joined the corporate sector with which he remained associated until recently in a senior management position. Alongside, he worked as a broadcaster with Radio Pakistan and remained the Islamabad bureau chief of an English weekly magazine ‘Pakistan & Gulf Economist’. In the U.S. he co-founded the Asian American Republican Club in Maryland in 1994 to encourage the participation of Asian Americans in the mainstream political process.   He now writes columns.
